The overall piece is absolutely beautiful. I love the dynamic coloring and the rich background. Your sense of color scheme, light and shadow works wonderfully, and since I personally find myself struggling with those areas the most when painting, I especially appreciate your effortless command in these aspects. The next thing that really works in this piece is the pose. It is subtle yet intense and really brings the image to life. So great job. One thing that I would suggest needs work on, is the anatomy. Cea's hand, while beautifully drawn, can use some accuracy in terms of finger placement and structure. I would suggest you use photographs and real life references to study the human body. It has helped me a lot and I'm sure it would help you too. Another thing I would comment on are the folds on Zaven's coat. The light and shadow placement looks somewhat unrealistic. By that I mean that the coat buttons produce too much shadow, and a little bit more consideration to where the light would hit his clothes and produce shadows could take this a long way. My suggestion would again be to study real images and break down light and shadow from draperies and clothes in photographs or real life. Of course, the piece works beautifully over all, so my intention is not to be too picky. Just some critique that I think can help you.
Other than that, I don't think there's anything else I find. The eyes and hair are done beautifully, and their expressions are extremely alive and beautiful. I can feel their emotions just by looking at their faces, so you definitely did your job right. Great work and keep it up!
